HMW-HDPE
HMW-HDPE Full Form:
High Molecular Weight High Density Polyethylene
What is HMW-HDPE?
High Molecular Weight (HMW) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) resins with extremely low melt indices (MI2 ranging from 0.03 to 0.1 dg/min) and extremely wide, multi-modal molecular weight distributions offer high melt strength and superior impact qualities. These features, together with its high tensile strength, make HMW HDPE the resin of choice when creating very thin films for transporting large weights, as needed for items like institutional can liners and retail carryout bags. Usually, high stalk blown film extrusion is used to manufacture HMW HDPE resins.
